Description
The Environmental Protection Agency Region I Boston, Massachusetts is seeking sources for the following equipment: Computerized Ambient Air Monitoring Calibration System Basic Description: The calibration system mixes clean zero reference air with a certified calibration gas to produce and display a known gaseous concentration which is then introduced into on-site instruments to be calibrated/audited. The system must have on board automated software that automatically calculates flow rates and concentrations, multi-event programming and unattended automatic operation and allows for selection of various flow ports for assignment. Types of ambient air monitoring pollutants include Ozone (03), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Sulfur Dioxide (S02), and Oxides of Nitrogen (NO- N02-NOx). This system must produce an air flow rate up to and including 30 Standard Liters per Minute (SLPM) and a gaseous flow rate of up to 100 Standard Cubic Centimeters per Minute (SCCM) by using two individual Mass Flow Controllers. The calibration system needs an internal Ozone generator to conduct both Ozone output concentrations for ozone calibrations and ozone 9utput for Gas Phase Titration (GPT) calibrations utilizing a reaction chamber blender. The system must use Teflon tubing throughout. Weight and size are important because the system needs to be portable and rack mounted while still maintaining the best quality system. The calibration system must be able to output a 30SLPM gaseous mix under pressure to a receiving instrument or sampling manifold. Mass Flow Controllers (MFC): 1 MFC with flow range of 0 -30 SLP~ 1 MFC with flow range of 0 -100 SCCM MFC's must be traceable to NIST using a reference temperature of 25 degrees C and a reference pressure of 760mmHg. Flow accuracy from 10% to 100% of scale of +/- 1 % with a 1% repeatability. Warm up time of not more than 30 minutes with not more than 30 second response times to 2% of flow set point. Stainless steel surfaces with Viton seals. MFC calibrations automatically stored within system software. Uv Ozone Generator: Range 0.5 to 1.25ppm @ 10SLPM 0.500ppm @ 30SLPM. Accuracy of+/- 2% or +/- 0.005ppm @10SPLM 30 day repeatability of +/-2% or +/- 0.005ppm Pressure and temperature controlled. Input/Output Requirements: All fittings are 1f4 inch stainless steel Swagelok. Four 1f4 inch span gas input ports. One 1f4 inch output fitting. Reference air in fittings. Minimum 10 psig input pressure with a max of 150 psig Maximum weight 40 pounds Maximum Rack mounted dimensions 19" X 7" X 25" Operating temperature 32 deg F to 122 deg F. Rack mounts Standard 115 V AC 60 Hz @ 3 amps electrical needs. Large backlit liquid crystal display for better visibility&safety with status board interface. RS 232 data port. EPA is considering a Brand Name Purchase of an Environics Series 9100 Computerized Ambient Monitoring Calibration System to fulfill this requirement. If you produce or distribute a different piece of equipment which meets the above technical requirements please contact the listed point of contact.
