- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required item under RFQ N00189-07-T-0199. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Norfolk intends to purchase the following item(s): (3 EA) 6 tonne weight fluid weight water bag with minimum operational lifting capacity of 6 tonne constructed with 100% high tenacity PU.PVC coated polyester fabric material. Minimum holding capacity of 6 cubic meters. Height from lifting straps to base is approx 11 feet with max diameter of approx 7.5 feet. Fabric shall be colored yellow w/ minimum weight of 48oz.sq yd. Oil and fuel resistant. Tear strength of 350 lbf (1553N), tensile strength of 924 lbf/in (8090N/CM). heat resistant to +160 degrees fahrenheit,puncture resistance of 440 lbs. (1 EA) woven collar for 12 straps to attach to. (2) (12EA) 2? polyester webbing lifting straps treated against UVdegradation. Tensile strength of each strap not less than 9800 lbs/in width. Enclose in protective sleeves made of same material as the weight. The 12 straps shall terminate at sling gathers at the top of the bag. Each sling gather shall a weight capacity of 16,800 lbs. The sling gathers are connected to two 8.5 tonne swivel screw and pin shackle. The pin shackles are then attached to one 12 tonne swivel screw pin shackle or anchor shackle. Fittings shall be made from cast anodized marine grade aluminum, nuts and bolt, and washers integral to the fittings shall be made from stainless steel. The fittings are bolted through the main body of the weight to a cast marine grade aluminum backing plate. One lift collar with 12x2? polyester webbing assembly with 5-1 certified swivel strength of 6 tonne. One 1-1/4? anchor shackle with 5-1 certified swivel strength of 12 tonne each. Twelve 3/8? shackles with ?? bungees to open top of weight. Two 60ft long x ?? diameter double braded rope with pulleys connected to ?? shackle. Unattached accessories include: one 3? x 15ft long flat hose with female x 90 degree elbow camlock connections and male camlock connection at the ends. One 3?x15ft long lay flat hose with female and male camlock connections at the ends. One 3? PVC ball valve c/w male and female camlocks to connect to 3? fill hose. One 3? PVC ball valve c/w male and female camlocks to connect to 3: fill/offload hose one 16oz can of PVC patch cement, one 24?x24? coated bladder material, two 2?x10? circles, four 4?x7? circles, one knife, one roller for patch cement, one strap wrench to remove PVC caps on fittings and a user manual. (2) ea. 35 Tonne Crane Weight: Fluid weight water bag with minimum operational lifting capacity of 35 tonne constructed with 100% high tenacity PU/PVC coated polyester fabric material. Minimum holding capacity of 35 cubic meters. Height from lifting straps to base is 22 ft. 4 inches with max diameter of 14 ft, 1 inch. Fabric shall be yellow with minimum weight of 67 oz/sq.yd. Oil and fuel resistant. Tear strength of 662 lb (1553N). Tensil strength of 1484 lbs(1300 N/5 CM), heat resistance of plus 160 degree f, special finish TPU/PVC blend coating, oil resistant. Twenty-four x 2? polyester webbing lifting straps treated with special coating against UV degradation. Tensile strength each strap not less than 9800 lbs/in width. Enclosed in protective sleeves made of same material as the weight. The bag is reinforced by lift harness comprised of 24 vertical polyester webbing straps attached to a large woven collar at the bottom of the bag. The twentfour straps terminate at 8 sling gathers at the top of the bag. They are then connected to a 12 tonne screw pin shackle for a total of 4 screw pin shackles. The four are attached to a V-32 master link assembly 5-1 certified SWL strength 165,300 lbs. Required Delivery Date: 30 April 2007 FOB: Point Destination to Norfolk, VA 23511.
