- The U.S. Department of Energy, Idaho Operations Office (DOE-ID), intends to make award of a firm, fixed price, sole-source contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to the small business vendor Dillon Aero, Inc., 8009 East Dillon???s Way, Scottsdale, AZ 85260. This award is for the purchase of: CLIN 0001-three (3) M134D/F ??? Gun ??? 7.62MM Minigun, Complete; and CLIN 0002 ??? three (3) DALN3655 ??? Ground Application Kit. Both of these items are manufactured and distributed to Government agencies as a non-commercial item by Dillon Aero. Contract award dollar amount is $178,215. Dillon Aero is the only source that has the specifications and technical knowledge required to manufacture these miniguns. The NAICS code for this award is 332994. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; all responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency prior to the response due date of April 23, 2007, 2:00 p.m. (MST). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to surrusjk@id.doe.
