- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement for on-site technical support services for the highway driving simulator (HDS) operation and maintenance, including both hardware and software applications, as necessary, to conduct applicable Government research programs. Support services shall include the following: 1) Operate and maintain the existing equipment to include experiment preparation, testing and calibration. 2) Develop software in support of HDS experiments and visualization activities. 3) Perform data collection. 4) Participate in HDS upgrades or system enhancements by designing, obtaining, integrating and testing new or modified hardware or software. 5) Promote of a professional and cooperative work environment through interactions with the Human Centered Systems (HCS) Team, their customers, and contractors responsible for the conduct of the studies in the HDS. 6) Conduct tours and demonstrations of the facility as required. 7) Participate in skill and training exchanges with other on-site or off-site contractors, as directed by the Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR), to maintain a flexible and cross-trained technical staff to support the HCS Team in its laboratory facilities, 8) Present at and attending technical conferences and meetings as deemed necessary by the HCS Team. 9) Other duties as assigned. This requirement is full and open competition pursuant to NAICS code 541710 with a size standard of 500 employees.
