Description
SYNOPSIS OF BAGHDAD BY-PASS PHASE II & III Phase 2 and 3 are being combined into one solicitation. Phase 2: Remove existing asphalt paving, replace with reinforced concrete and widen 5.5 kilometers of existing road to a width of 9.5 meters. Construct shoulders to a width of 1.5 meters each. Construct 3.5 kilometers of reinforced concrete road 9.5 meters wide with 1.5 meter shoulders. Construction includes 2 box culverts with wing walls and two cylindrical culverts with wing walls. Culverts are to be reinforced concrete. Phase 3: Remove existing asphalt paving, replace with reinforced concrete, and widen 4 kilometers of existing road to a width of 9.5 meters. Construct shoulders to a width of 1.5 meters each. Construct 8 kilometers of reinforced concrete road 9.5 meters wide with 1.5 meter shoulders. Construction includes eleven cylindrical culverts with wing walls, and a 20 meter bridge. Bridge and culverts are to be reinforced concrete. Construct intersection with expressway west of Baghdad. The Magnitude of construction in accordance with FAR 36.204 is greater than $10,000,000.00 Solicitation W917BG-07-R-0094 will be published on Fed Biz Opps and the Baghdad Business Center on or about 8 April 2007. W917BG-07-R-0094 will be advertised for thirty days. This project is subject to the availability of funds. The contractor shall comply with host country and Government prescribed laws, policies and procedures for performance under the contract. Competition for this procurement is not limited and is anticipated to capture open and full competition. This procurement will be a Request for Proposal (RFP) and a firm-Fixed-price contract as a result of this solicitation. The solicitation for this project will be issued in electronic format only and will be available for download on the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ and the Baghdad Business Center website: http://www.baghdadbusinesscenter.org The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offerors inability to access the document posted at the referenced website.
