- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for a quantity of 50 each flexible waveguides, FAA part numbers ASR9-003.14.1 Rev A; ASR9-003.14.2 Rev A; ASR9-003.14.3 Rev A; and ASR9-003.14.4 Rev A for a total quantity of 200. Each are to be manufactured in accordance with their respective drawing number, e.g., ASR9-003.14.1 etc., Military Specification MIL-W-287E, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation, Defense & Electronic Systems Center, Drawing 645A754. These waveguides are required in support of the Airport Surveillance Radar System (ASR-9), which is an integral part of the Air Traffic Control System. In accordance with Westinghouse Drawing No. 645A754, there are seven approved manufacturers for these waveguides as follows: Airton Morris Plains, Morris Plains, NJ; Arra, Inc., Bay Shore, NY; Continental Microwave, Exeter, NH; Microtech, Inc., Cheshire, CT; Microwave Development Labs, Needham Heights, MA; Technical Systems, Technicraft Division; and Waveline, Inc., Fairfield, NJ. The FAA intends to only solicit offers from these seven manufacturers. Identified manufacturers should download the solicitation from the Internet. If solicitation cannot be downloaded, submit a request to the contracting officer in writing via fax (405-954-9219) or via the Internet address: joy.Dickson@faa.gov.
