- Description
- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Request for Quote (RFQ) F2G4A27068A100 is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a RFQ. Submit written offers only, oral offers will not be accepted. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). (iii) This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-11 and through Department of Defense Acquisition Regulation Change Notice 20060711. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. North American Industrial Classification Standard: 334516; Small Business Size Standard: 750 (v) CLIN (0001) 1 Each; Smith?s Detection HazMatID Command System, part number 023-1005 OR EQUAL ITEM. The HazMatID is a highly specific tool that measures how chemical samples interact with infared light. Each chemical has its own unique infared fingerprint, which when analyzed by the HazMatID is compared against an onboard library database identification in less than 20 seconds. Database libraries include: WMD - nerve and blister agents, Toxic industrial chemicals, white powders, explosives, WMD precursors, common chemicals, forensic drugs and Clan Lab precursors. Offer must include Manufactures Standard Commercial Warranty. (vi) Contractor must provide equipment that is a suitable substitute for the aforementioned item description. If quoted item is determined to not be an adequate substitute, the offer will not be considered for award.
