Description
Contract Choir Director (Gospel Service) 1. Key Required Services To be Performed. a. Direct Choir Performance and Congregational Singing. b. Conduct Choir Rehearsals. c. Procurement of Music/Supplies in support of the Choral Program. d. Service Coordination Meetings. 2. Expected Standards That Must Be When Providing The Key Outputs. a. Direct Choir Performance, Congregational Singing, and Special Musical Presentations. Contractor shall direct the adult choirs and they shall perform, at a minimum, at the weekly Sunday Morning Gospel Worship Service as scheduled. Contractor shall provide musical support to the Wednesday Night Worship Service as required. Contractor shall direct congregational singing during all services as required. Contractor shall coordinate with the appropriate personnel for all special musical presentations (i.e. youth choir, solos and praise singing) as well dance ministry presentations. Contractor shall consult and coordinate the music with the Gospel Congregation Chaplain providing ministry to the service. b. Special Services and Programs. Contractor shall provide/coordinate, in coordination with the Gospel Congregation Chaplain, all musical support for all special services and programs (i.e. cantatas, dramas, etc.) for the Gospel service. c. Conduct Choir Rehearsals. Contractor shall initiate, plan, coordinate and conduct choir rehearsals, at a minimum of one hour weekly. Contractor is responsible for scheduling/reserving the chapel through the Chapel NCOIC. The contractor shall be responsible for opening and securing the facility before and after use. Contractor shall coordin ate and conduct extra choir rehearsals in support of special music programs/cantatas for special worship services, not to exceed 15 in a given fiscal year. These additional rehearsals shall be conducted for the duration of at least one hour each. These r ehearsals do not include practicing of soloist specials. d. Procurement of Music/Supplies in Support of the Choral Program. Contractor will submit a list of the materials needed to support the musical program of the service to the FMMC Consolidated Chaplains Fund Funds Clerk for ordering. Contractor shall ensure submission of the list of materials on time to allow receipt of the supplies prio r to the time needed to prepare, practice and perform the program/music successfully. e. Service Coordination Meetings. Contractor shall attend service/event coordination meetings with the Chaplain/Pastor and ministry staff as required. The RFQ will be issued and available on line at https://acquisition.army.mil/safi on or about 27 March 07. The RFQ will be due on or about 16 April 07.
