- Provide Design-Build services for a Brigade/Battalion Headquarters Annex at Fort Knox, Kentucky to house HQ functions not accounted for in existing facilities (reuse of existing approx. 80,000 SF HQ facility renovated under other contracts)using the MILCON Transformation methodology. This project type is for soldiers and is intended to be similar both functionally and technically to an office facility in the private sector surrounding the installation in quality. Provide equipment and associated acce ssories typical to enable operations to closely monitor safety, reduce energy, and facilitate ease of operation and maintenance. The size of the facility will be approximately 50,000 SF. Work includes connection to the Energy Monitoring and Control System (EMCS), installation of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), fire protection and alarm systems, information systems, and includes connection to and distribution of all utility systems. Supporting facilities include potable water, sanitary sewer, electrical , natural gas, asphalt paving, sidewalks, erosion control measures, exterior lighting, landscaping, storm drainage, mass notification systems, anti-terrorism and force protection measures and site improvements. Accessibility for the disabled will be provi ded. Provide all site improvements necessary to support the new building and facilities. Furniture requirements as set forth in the RFP will be for this 50,000 SF new facility and the renovated existing HQ building as detailed in the RFP. Existing parki ng lot renovation/realignment and new paving will be part of this project. Demolition of an existing 2-story building with basement and termination/removal of associated utilities will also be required. Solicitation will be issued Subject to Availability of Funds (SAF) and proposals must remain valid for 90 days after closing date. The solicitation is a Design/Build Best Value solicitation. The estimated performance period is 540 days. The estimated price range of this project is $10,000,000-25,000,000 Million. Size Standard is $31 Million. NAICS Code is 236220. This is an UNRESTRICTED PROCUREMENT. The proposal process consists of Design Technical (Building Functional and Aesthetics, Quality of Building Systems and Materials, Site Design and Sustain ability Requirements), Performance Capability (Specialized Experience, Past Performance, Proposed Contract Duration and Preliminary Schedule, Key Project Personnel Capabilities and Experience), Price and Pro-Forma Information (Pre-Award Information and Sub contracting Plan). Solicitation will be issued on or about 12 April 2007 and proposals are due on/about 14 May 2007 at 2:00 PM Louisville Local Time.
