- The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) has issued an amendment to solicitation for Fire and Emergency Services. The purpose of the Amendment is to remove 199 line items from the original core list. The majority of the items, 182 core items, are being removed due to their being determined to be Non-Compliant with the Berry Amendment and there fore unable to be procured through this acquisition. The solicitation (Berry Amendment) clause DFARs 252.225-7012 Preference For Certain Domestic Commodities, states that all END PRODUCTS or COMPONENTS delivered, under any resultant, must be grown, reprocessed, reused or produced in the United States. Additional 14 core items are removed as they are discontinued and 3 items are removed as duplicates. The estimated value of this acquisition remains $156,600,000.00 for the base period; $397,000,000.00 for total contract period. Best value/source selection procedures remain for the acquisition in which technical merit is more important than price. Amendment 0003 to Solicitation SPM5E5-06-R-0051 was issued on 26 March 2007 with a closing date of 30 March 2007. Anticipated award in May 2007. Numbered Note 12 applies.
