- Description
- The United States Coast Guard, Maintenance Logistics Command Atlantic intends to issue a sole source Requirements contract to Jo Kell Engineered Solutions Group for a Hydraulic Pump Motor Controller to be used on the U.S. Coast Guard?s 87 WPB patrol fleet. The period of performance will be one base period and two ordering periods. The contract will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.5. The hydraulic part to be purchased: Hydraulic Pump Motor Controller, P/N 285236. Jo Kell Engineered Solutions Group is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the hydraulic motor controllers. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) ? Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Jo Kell Engineered Solutions Group is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to manufacture the required parts in support of the existing 87 foot Class Patrol Boats. Manufacturer?s specifications are not available and a solicitation will not be issued. The Coast Guard intends to solicit only with Jo Kell Engineered Solutions Group. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 15 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed Requirements contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
