Description

This is a market survey to locate additional sources for spares for the AN/PRS-9 and AN/GSR-8(v)2 (BAIS and REMBASS II) relating to NSN s: 6350-01-512-7177 and 6350-01-513-4035. The AN/PRS-9 BAIS is capable of receiving, displaying, and sending alarm information to/from existing ground sensor systems such as the Remotely Monitored Battlefield Sensor System (REMBASS). BAIS is also capable o f being effectively integrated into planned and future ground and air Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Intelligence, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) and Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) systems. BAIS is rugged enough to withstand th e rigors of handling the stress encountered during combat operations. BAIS sensors can operate in combination or independently. BAIS Monitors are capable of receiving and displaying all Sensor messages, alarms, or data.The AN/GSR-8(v)2 REMBASS II, Remotel y Monitored Battlefield Sensor System, is an unattended ground sensor (UGS) system that detects, classifies, and provides direction of travel of targets. It is a world-wide deployable, all weather, day/night, early warning, surveillance and force protectio n capability in support of battlefield commanders in all types of terrain. UGS in worldwide deployments to support tactical level Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance needs in all phases of operations from peace through war. The system can be moni tored either from mobile or fixed sites.The current source for these systems components is L3 Communications Corporation. Suppliers capable of furnishing any components of spares must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA C-E LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-IEW- R-SN, Building 1201E, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the unit from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the pu rpose intended by the Army.
