- Description
- A market survey is being conducted by the New England District. The purpose of this survey is to determine the availability of Large, Small, 8(a), Service Disables Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVSB), and HUBZone concerns to furnish Mine Detection Dogs (MDD) or Munitions of Concern Detection Dogs (MECDD) in a Pilot Program for use in detecting trace levels of Trinitrotoluene (TNT), Cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine (RDX), Pentaerythritol Tetranitrate (PETN), and Perchlorate from Unexploded Ordnance, con taminated soils, and or open burn and/or open demolition pits. The MDD or MECDD dogs at a minimum must be certified in International Mine Action Standards (IMAS, 09.40 First Edition 2003-01-01) which was developed to test the canine ability to detect targ et odors with a minimum of false indications. NAICS Code 541990 Size Standard $6.5 Mil. Perspective contractors/firms responding to this market survey shall submit the following information: Business classification size (e.g. large, small, 8(a), etc. ); statement of capabilities - contractor/firm must demonstrate expertise in at least 2 pilot type programs over the last 5 years. Submission should not exceed 10 pages. Responses are due April 10, 2007.
