- Description
- The government is seeking sources for the procurement, and delivery of a 16-channel voice/video communications and radar screen recorder for the Range Management Branch, Marine Corps Base, Quantico Virginia. The contractor shall provide a modified version of the Mercom GLR MaxPro voice/video recorder, or equivalent. The recorder shall be a PC-based system running on a Windows 2000, or XP, capable of recording up to 16 analog and digital voice channels. In addition, the recorder shall be capable of recording screenshots from one (1) Radar Acquisition and Display System (RADS) computer operating system for a minimum of 24 hours a day for at least six (6) consecutive months before archiving is required. The contractor shall incorporate a module in the recorder capable of recording screenshots from a Navy RADS computer. The RADS is a Navy-owned radar display system used to display radar tracks from multiple sources. The recorder shall continuously record the screensh ots in five minute, or more, increments. These increments shall be user-selectable. Each screenshot shall be stored using the native resolution of the RADS computer. If software is installed, this software shall not degrade the operation of the RADS computer. The minimum resolution requirement shall be VGA (640x480). A user shall be able to search and replay selected timeframes of the audio and RADS screenshots. At the minimum, the user shall be able to enter, or select, the channel, date, and time of the desired audio to be played back. The operators shall be capable of saving selected recordings of both the audio and RADS screenshots on portable media, such as DVDs and CDs. The recorder shall also be able to record audio to a standard wave audio (.wav), or MP-3 (.mp3), file. It shall be compatible with both analog and digital telephone lines, and standard 4-wire E&M radio circuits. The contractor shall plan to interface at least five (5) standard analog telephone lines and five (5) standard 4-wire E&M radio circuits. The recorder shall be 3 feet high (minimum), 19 inches wide (minimum), and 20 inches deep (minimum). If the recorder is rack mounted, it shall take up no more than 6 rack units (RU) of rack space and weigh 20 lbs, minimum, with the mounting hardware. The contractor shall provide the rack with the system. Additional data on the RADS software can be requested by the contractor after contract award. The contractor shall furnish the necessary services, supplies, FOB destination delivery and Installation to the base at the Range Control Facility at Camp Barrett, MCB Quantico Virginia. The anticipated delivery date will be 90 days after contract award. This is not a request for quotations or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the US Government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately. Written response is requested within 15 days after publication of this notice. No phone calls will be accepted.
