Description
This Sources Sought notice is modified to change the NAICS code for this requirement to 811219. This is a Sources Sought announcement only. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The 341st Contracting Squadron is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential business sources to perform the Operation Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL). The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) homepage http://www.fbo.gov as available. Work consists of services to provide, except those identified as Government-furnished, all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, management, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) services at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Government calibration facilities at Malmstrom Air Force Base, and equipment are available to support the offeror. Services include actions necessary to manage, test, calibrate, repair, modify, certify, store, safeguard, transport, and perform traceable measurements through the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL) to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or other Air Force Metrology and Calibration (AFMETCAL) Det.1 approved sources on test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). The Government anticipates awarding a contract for a basic year of performance beginning 1 Oct 07, with four, one-year options. It is anticipated that a firm, fixed-price (FFP) contract will be awarded. The North American Industry Classification System code is 811219 - Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Solicitation will be posted at FedBizOps electronically, on or about 6 Apr 2007. The Request for Proposal will be available by electronic transmission ONLY. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry to be eligible for award. (See internet site: http://www.ccr.gov). All prospective offerors interested in submitting a proposal on this solicitation must have a commercial and government entity code (CAGE CODE). All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Once the Solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide a brief statement of current capability and letter of interest. Interested and qualified sources are requested to provide the following information: 1) Company name, point of contact, e-mail address, telephone and fax numbers, type of business and size; 2) a list of your most recent and relevant DoD or commercial contracts (not to exceed three) to include names, points of contact, phone numbers, value and type of contract, period of performance, and brief description; and 3) information telling us about your company and why you think you can perform this service. Respondents are asked to limit submissions to 5 pages or less, or the minimum number of pages necessary to address the requirements specified in this announcement. Any information provided is voluntary. The sources sought is for information and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a solicitation and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government.
