- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Health Care System (VACHS), is seeking for a small business company to provide Unarmed Security Guard Services. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies and on site supervision, to provide unarmed uniformed security guard services (Type I) at St. Thomas and St. Croix Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC's). The period of performance will be for an initial base period from May 1, 2007 or date of award if later, through September 30, 2011 to include four (4) one-year option periods that the Government may or may not exercised. This procurement is been set aside 100% for small business (SB ) located in the US Virgin Islands. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561612 with a business size standard of $17 M. The solicitation will be made available on or about March 30, 2007 with a due date of April 16, 2007, by 3:00 pm PR Atlantic time. This solicitation will be available in electronic format ONLY; dissemination is limited to electronic medium and the VA WILL NOT PROVIDE HARD COPIES. Copies of the solicitation may be obtained at no charge at the following Government Point of entry http://www.fedbizopps.gov The solicitation number for this acquisition is VA-248-07-RP-0009 any amendments issued to this solicitation will also be available at the URL address. Offerors are advice that they are responsible for review, monitor and download this solicitation and any other related documentation posted in the above mentioned website; to ensure that they have the most updated information about this acquisition. Offerors interested on current contract information are advised that such information will be disclosed under Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), in accordance with 38 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 1.553(b). FOIA request shall be addressed attention to Ms. Kiomara Bonilla, Privacy Officer, Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, 10 Calle Casia, San Juan, PR 00921-3201. All requests shall be in writing by any firm or person, including Requestor's signature, sender address and print name.  Copy of FOIA request may be faxed to the CO for tracking purposes only, but all follow up shall be done with the Privacy Officer. Each request shall reasonably describe the records, so that they may be located with a reasonable amount of effort. Also each FOIA Requestor shall states their willingness to pay applicable fees or provide justification to support a fee waiver. A day time telephone number is required.
