Description

SUBJECT: Market Investigation for Detergents Without Optical Brighteners The Product Manager-Clothing and Individual Equipment (PM-CIE) and the Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC) are conducting a market research investigation to identify commercially available laundry detergents which do not co ntain fluorescent whitening agents (FWA), commonly called optical brightener agents or any other agents that fluoresce when exposed to ultraviolet light. The detergents shall be readily available for laundering military clothing by home or commercial mach ines. Interested firms are requested by submit information on their product(s) within fifteen (15) days following the publication of this synopsis. Interested firms shall include but not limited to technical information [product name, product label ident ification, product form (liquid, powder, etc.), enhancement additives (bleach, softeners, fragrance, etc.), package size, material safety data sheet, etc.] and manufacturer information [company point of contact (name, title, address, phone number and elect ronic mail), potential product changes, product brands by region, etc.]. Firms are also encouraged to submit samples for evaluation. Any information/samples submitted will not be returned and no payment will be made by the Government for such samples. R esponses to this notice are to be sent to Ms. Denise M. Tolliver, Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC), ATTN: AMSRD-NSC-WP-WC, Kansas Street, Natick, MA 01760-5019. All responses must be in writing; NO telephone responses will be accepted. This notice is for a marketing investigation only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation document is available at this time.
