Description
The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has an Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) Program for the Village of Kongiganak, Alaska. The job consists of rock riprap armoring approximately 1,000 feet of eroding stream bank on the Kongnignanohk River. The project design includes two slightly different scopes of work. The first (basic design) is based on drawings 1-3 and involves riprap armoring up to elevation 0.0. The second (alternative design) is based on drawings 1-4 and involves riprap armoring up to elevation 5.0. Alaska State Business License is required. Prospective low bidder will be required to provide required bonds. Bidders may bid on either the Basic Option or the Alternative Option or both, but the bids must be separate and distinct from each other and clearly marked as to which option the bid applies. NRCS intends to make award under the Alternative Option if funding and circumstances permit, but reserves the right to make award under either option at our sole discretion based on perceived value of the submittals. The estimated cost range of this project is between $2,000,000 and $3,000,000. The estimated performance time is 120 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be available in the near future and can be downloaded from this site. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available. Firms interested in providing this service will be required to submit two copies of completed IFB to the Contracting Specialist at NRCS, 800 West Evergreen Ave., Suite 100, Palmer, Alaska 99645-6546. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals will be April 18, 2007. Anticipated award date is April 23, 2007. Bidders must be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR), in order to receive a Government Contract award. To register the CCR Internet address is: http://www.ccr.gov. All questions must be directed to Cassie Storms in writing by mail or email at cassie.storms@ak.usda.gov. No questions will be accepted by telephone. Solicitation is anticipated to be available by April 6, 2007.
