Description
This sources sought Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. The Air Force is conducting market research and desires input from industry to assist in requirements planning. The information requested by this RFI will be used to facilitate the Air Mobility Command Furnishings Portfolio Commodity Council (AMC FPCC) decision making process. Please note: The Air Force will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this RFI. The United States Air Force, Headquarters Air Mobility Command (HQ AMC) is interested in the identification of capable sources to provide command-wide furnishings requirements executed at centralized and decentralized levels. The AMC FPCC will shape buying behavior that satisfies command-wide furnishings needs by: minimizing duplication of effort, standardizing procurement policy, providing purchasing flexibility and leveraged purchasing power, and implementing strategies to reduce the total lifecycle cost of procuring and managing furniture assets and related services. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals nor will any award be made as a result of this synopsis. An attachment to this RFI will include a draft listing of preliminary office furniture subcategories. The applicable Federal Supply Classifications are: 7110, 7125, and 7195. Information requested: 1. Company Information: Name, Address, telephone number, FAX number, point of contact(s) name(s), phone number, e-mail address. 2. Capability information in terms of the ability to provide the furniture and perform the services identified in the attached listing of preliminary office furniture subcategories. Capability information should include a brief description of experience in providing the type of furniture and support described in the RFI attachment, as well as experience in working with other large organizations to drive total lifecycle cost reductions in the procurement and management of furniture assets and related services. The capability package must be clear, concise, and complete. The Air Force is under no obligation to provide feedback to the company, or to contact the company for clarification of any information submitted in response to this request. Capability packages should be limited to no more than 25 pages. 3. Identification of business size and whether currently designated a Small Business as defined the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 19.1 and the appropriate categories (small business (SB), small disadvantaged business (SDB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone), 8(a) certified small business, service disabled veteran-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, woman-owned small business. Small business size standards are published by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and may be found at www.sba.gove/size/sizetable2002.html. 4. Identify Major Risks: Provide general information to identify any major risks anticipated. 5. Any other information deemed useful to the Air Force in developing the most effective approach to procuring and managing furniture assets and related services. Submission Information: Written response by e-mail is required. Response must be received by this office by close of business on 25 April 2007. This request for information is not a commercial solicitation and the Government will not pay for any information submitted, or for any costs associated with providing the information.
