Description
The U.S. Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) Acquisition Center in Orlando, FL is developing an acquisition strategy to award an omnibus contract vehicle to assist PEO STRI and its customers in satisf ying mission requirements. The omnibus contract to be awarded, known as STOC II (PEO STRI Omnibus Contract II), will be a set of multiple-award Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to provide simulation, training and instrumentation p roducts and services for the warfighter, beginning with concept development and continuing throughout life cycle support. The objectives of this acquisition include but are not limited to: 1) facilitate the leveraging of programs and technology (to incl ude Joint and/or Joint-related) in the best interests of the U.S. Army and Department of Defense; 2) prepare the warfighter to meet the challenges of the future Joint operational environment; and 3) support continued growth in the interoperability of Live, Virtual, Constructive and Testing solutions to enhance training and testing capabilities of the warfighter. The Government will host a series of meetings with Industry in order to gain Industry input and assistance in the development of the Governments acquisition strategy for STOC II. PEO STRI will hold a series of 12 meetings throughout the months of April-M ay 2007 to solicit input regarding 1) the pros and cons of the current PEO STRI Omnibus Contract and 2) ways to make STOC II an effective contract vehicle for both Industry and the Government. We will limit each meeting to no more than ten (10) companies p er meeting and no more than two (2) participants per company. Each company may attend only one meeting.
