Description

The Government anticipates advertising a Request for Quotation type solicitation on April 16, 2007 for installation of a 66 foot span treated timber bride at North Branch of Whiteface River on the Pequaywan trail north of Virginia Minnesota. The bridge and associated materials (Government Furnished Property) are located at Sand Lake Guard Station north of Virginia MN on US Hwy. #53. Work is to include the transportation of the snowmobile bridge, which is 3 stringer length 66? and 6200 pounds, plus decking and railing materials to the project site. Work also requires the assembly of the bridge per manufacture's design. Award will be made considering price and past performance factors. Quotation due date is anticipated to be May 17, 2007. A site visit is tentatively scheduled for April 30, 2007. Anticipated award date is May 21, 2007. THIS NOTICE IS A SYNOPSIS ONLY. THE FULL SOLICITATION IS ANTICPATED TO BE ATTACHED TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT ON APRIL 17, 2007. ALL SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME. Directions from Aurora, MN. Follow County Rd #100 south; travel approximately 6 miles to County Rd. #99 and continue traveling south for approximately 6 miles to St. Louis Co. #16. Turn east (left) and travel approximately 7.5 miles to FR# 118. Turn south (right) and travel 3.5 miles to FR# 118E. Turn east (left) than north (left) on snowmobile trail to river crossing.
