Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE. Arnold Engineering Development Center (AEDC), Arnold AFB, TN, intends to award a sole source contract to Medtherm Corporation, 2604 Newby Road, SW, Huntsville, AL 35805, for (62) coaxial surface thermocouples, TCS-E-031-.375-116-10937, .0.031? dia., probe, .375? long with 4? T/C leads and 112? copper/copper leads, type ?E?, (54) coaxial surface thermocouples, TCS-E-061-.375-120-10964, 0.061? dia., 0.375? long, type ?E? with 4? T/C leads and 116? copper/copper leads, (23) TCS-E-031-.375-116-10937, 0.031 dia. probe, 0.375 long with 4? T/C leads and 112? copper/copper leads, type ?E?. The standard Tunnel 9 heat transfer measurement is coaxial thermocouples manufactured by Medtherm Corporation. Medtherm Corporation is the only known responsible source capable of supplying these instruments. No solicitation package will be issued. However, all interested sources may identify their interest but must provide proof of capability to provide an acceptable product by submitting pricing data, an accurate description of the equipment offered and make and model numbers of the equipment. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses received to this synopsis. If no favorable responses are received by close of business (4:00 PM CST), 17 April 2007, a contract will be negotiated with the above named source.
