- The purpose of this modification is to include information for overhead lights. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation W81YYC7075F200 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). Funds for this acquisition are available. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect for Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-16. This acquisition is unrestricted. //Schedule of items: This requirement is for Furniture, Building 100, Room 203. Any furniture offered must be clearly identified by brand name, make and model number. Offerors must also include descriptive literature and any proposed modifications required to conform to specifications. All vendors are required to submit 3-D renderings and plan drawings as part of their proposal. Minimum Requirements: 1. Minimum 10 year warranty on all furniture, with the exception of the furniture partition panels. Furniture partition panels will have a minimum 5 year warranty. 2. There will be no chairs procured. 3. There shall be a total of 80 workstation positions. 4. 2 of the workstations (inside the 2 small offices) will be executive style furniture with a cherry veneer finish. These desk positions will have full depth modesty panels and have overall dimensions of 2000mm x 2000mm. In addition, each of these desks will have two each (total of 4) 3 drawer under desk mobile pedestal in matching veneer. (2 of the 80 positions). 5. 2 workstations will be a two-tiered section capable of holding various pieces of IT equipment. The two-tiered workstations? lower surface will be a minimum of 2 - 1200mm x 780mm and a maximum 1220mm x 800mm (the total length of the work surface will be between 2400mm and 2440mm). The upper work surface will be a minimum of 2 - 1200mm x 600mm and a maximum 1220mm x 610mm. There shall be enough supports under the lower work surfaces to withstand 200 lbs of weight on each (2 of the 80 positions). 6. The majority of the individual office workstation surfaces shall be a ?cockpit? style with overall dimensions of 2000mm x 2000mm. Each 2000mm x 2000mm position shall be one continuous work surface. Piecing smaller sections together to meet the 2000mm x 2000mm dimension will not be acceptable. The work surfaces transition from 780mm min (max 800mm) to 600mm min (max 610mm) at the corner. The diagonal dimension from the outer corner intersection of the cockpit to inner edge (where a person will be sitting) is no more than 1000mm. There shall be adequate support panels underneath the work surfaces at each end of the cockpit workstation to ensure structural stability. (61 of the 80 positions) 7. There will be 8 rectangular desks between 1560mm & 16000mm in length, and between 780mm and 800mm in width. (8 of the 80 positions). 8. There will be 5 rectangular desks between 1800mm & 2000mm in length, and between 780mm and 800mm in width. (If these 2 work surfaces are hung from the screen partitions, there shall be adequate mid support panels provided to prevent the work surfaces from sagging over time) (7 of the 80 positions). 9. There will also be a small conference area. The conference table shall be 800mm x 1800mm and able to seat 6-8 people around the table. 10. All work surfaces and conference tables shall be made of a high density construction, be a minimum 25mm thick, be Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC) and have a scratch and heat resistant finish and no sharp edges 11. Each workstation will have a screen partition. 12. All screen partitions shall be a minimum of 45mm and a maximum of 55mm in thickness. 13. Screen partitions shall be capable to hold overhead storage units. 14. Each workstation will have one overhead storage unit. Size of the overhead storage unit will be between 1000mm and 1220mm long. There shall be a total of 76 overhead storage units. 15. Each workstation will include an integrated overhead light attached to the overhead storage unit. There shall be a total of 76 lights. 16. Overhead storage units shall match partition panels in colour scheme. 17. Overhead storage shall be lockable. 18. All desk positions shall have screen partitions in front of all work surfaces at a minimum 2000mm (maximum 2030mm) in height. 19. Additionally, any screen partition along the perimeter wall of any of the rooms will have service access ?pass-thrus? built into the partition. The pass-thru opening shall be between no less than 150mm and no more than 200mm from the floor level. Additionally the height of the actual opening in the panel shall be no less than 250mm and no more than 350mm. 20. Colour for all work surfaces shall be maple or approved substitute explicitly approved by the Government. 21. Partition panel coverings shall be fabric and be capable of being used as a pin board (or provisions made to have a pinnable area along the partitions). 22. Partition panel covering and overhead storage colour must not be too dark. Camborne Cara ?Glass EJ004? or approved equivalent shall be used (www.interfacefabrics.com/samples). 23. Cable management capable of holding multiple cables shall be incorporated under the desk work surface for each desk position. Additionally provisions shall be made to ensure the cable management is continuous from one desk to the next ? where desks are situated next to each other. 24. Each workstation screen partition will have rails to accept partition hung accessories. 25. Each workstation will include 2 horizontal paper trays and one vertical filer to be hung on the accessory rail. 26. Each workstation shall include one mobile pedestal made of steel (not MFC) that is on wheels and can be placed under the work surface. The mobile pedestal shall be a 3-drawer type with one of the drawers capable of holding hanging files. There shall be a total of 76 mobile pedestals. 27. Each workstation shall include a minimum of 8 electrical outlets (can be 2 - 4way power strips, for example) and must be fused. Each 4 gang socket shall have its own cable. Each cable shall be long enough to enable the power strip to be plugged into the perimeter wall. 28. Additionally, there will be sixteen 4-drawer lateral filing units procured. These shall be a minimum 800 mm wide and 470mm deep. 29. Cost shall include delivery to RAF Molesworth. 30.
