Description

The U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a Solicitation Announcement or a Request for Proposal and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potentially qualified/certified, 8(A) Businesses, relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 237990. To make appropriate acquisitions for the above project, the Governmen t, will use responses to this sources sought synopsis and possible future projects as determined to be in the best interest of the Government. The order of magnitude, for this effort is estimated to be between $1,000,000.00 to 5, 000,000.00. The work i s for Revetment Repairs, Dike Repairs, and Riprap Upper Bank Paving in the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers between Mound City, Illinois (Ohio River Mile 972) and Mouth of White River, Arkansas (Mississippi River Mile 599 AHP). The work consists of stone repai rs to revetments and dike fields, the construction of Hard Point Dikes and Riprap Paving Revetments and the placement of Riprap Upper Bank Paving on Revetments. The work to Revetments may include grading; excavation; crushed stone blanket; riprap paving; stone fill; breaking out pavement; placing and painting range markers; and range clearing. The work to dike fields includes bank grading and dressing; Riprap paving and placing of stone fill in specified areas and the removal of stone from some areas. Th e work consists of placing approximately 210,000 tons of stone. A geographical restriction is requested on this requirement. Competition is limited to 8(a) contractors located within the geographical area serviced by SBA Restricted to Eligible Contractor s in the states of Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana and Iowa. Main Street B-202, Tennessee 38103. Response must be received no later than 11:00 a.m. Central Standard Time, on April 9, 2007. The following information is reque sted: (1) Name of firm w/address, telephone, fax number, e-mail address, and point of contact. (2) State if your company is an 8(a) firm in good standing with the SBA. (3) State whether your firm can provide an Irrevocable Letter of Credit or a Payme nt Bond (100% of the contract amount or $2.5 million). Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall indicate specialized experience and technical competence in the general work requirement of this project. Evaluation(s) will consider overall experienc e. Also provide documentation for your firm on past performance as a prime contractor. Submission Requirements: Firms submitting responses shall present their information in a matrix format showing contracts they have performed. The matrix shall show t he most recent five projects that prove you can meet each qualification criteria listed above. It shall include contract number, project title and location, description of work, and a point of contact and telephone number for each. Firms should also indi cate all applicable personnel and sub-contractors proposed to work on the contract. Firms who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be considered by the Government while making the acquisition decision for this sources sought announcement.
