- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division intends to procure a File Server based on the Windows Storage Server 2003 Release 2 installed on a flexible/ upgradeable Server device to be acquired on a competition firm fixed price basis. Delivery of the Server is FOB destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division China Lake, CA 14 days after award. Award will be issued under the authority of the Test Procedures for Commercial Items using FAR Part 12 and 13.5. The anticipated award date is 29 September 2006. The Server configuration shall at a minimum satisfy the following requirements - 4gb RAM expandable to 32gb -PC3200 DDR SDRAM at 400 MHz; 4 - Dual core 2.6 GHz processors; 4 - internal hard disk drives (36gb) in a RAID 5 configuration with Hot Spare; Redundant fans; Redundant Power Supplies; Redundant Host Bus Adapters serving the SAN Storage; CD-ROM Drive, read only; Dual Port gigabit Network card; 2 - USB 2.0 ports (preferably accessible from the front panel); Front Panel LED Display; Rack Mount 8 Port KVM with 4 cables, 15" monitor, keyboard mouse; Windowing Interface Application to manage the SAN Storage array; Two SAN switches for failover protection; 9 TB of external disk storage using Fiber Channels (fiber drive to level); Backup Tape library device with dual (2) tape drives supporting 400/800 GB tapes; fiber attached devices including disk and tapes in order to simplify the number of interfaces to the device level; the server should be able to run Symantic Backup ExecTM Version 10.1 software; All devices in a Rack mounted configuration with UPS protection; No more than a single 42U rack configuration (due to customer's space limitations; Racks must be compatible and able to attach for stability to user's existing HP and Compaq racks); and racks must be lockable with flow through ventilation. The Government requires a standard commercial warranty and desires an extended warranty of at least three years. The Government also requires the following: Initial power-on bench testi ng of the entire system for at least 48 hours in duration before delivery, and delivery of the system as tested, without disassembly; Any notes that are pertinent in regards to Software installation to support customer operation including restart and reinstallation of software; Functional test results; user training specific to the server configuration including reference material required for training; and at least 12 months of telephone and electronic mail support after installation, at no additional charge, for customer administration and configuration issues for delivered system. Detailed information will be provided with the solicitation that will be posted on or about 15 April 2007 and can be viewed at www.fedbizopps.gov. Responses must include all information requested in the written Request for Quotation (RFQ). Evaluation for award will consider price and other factors including past performance, availability of parts and service. Note 12 applies.
