Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to negotiate with Sirsi Corporation; in Huntsville, AL,on a sole source basis in accordance with authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), only one responsible source. The requirement is for software maintenance on the Unicorn Integrated Library System. Sirsi Corporation is the exclusive provider of the Unicorn Integrated Library System that NOAA Central Library purchased in 1996 for use for the NOAA Library and Information Network Catalog, and the NOAA Seattle Library online catalog. This requirement will continue the annual software maintenance for the Unicorn ILS for Calendar Year 2007. Offerors capable of providing this software maintenance are requested to respond. All written responses must include a written narrative statement of capability demonstrating their ability to meet the above requirements. The response must be sufficient to permit agency evaluation to establish a bonafide capability to meet the requirements. Failure to submit such documentation will result in the Government proceeding with sole source procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Affirmative written responses must be received no later than April 16, 2007. All information in response to this notification must be submitted, in writing, to the Contracting Officer.
