Description

CLARIFICATION: This notification is to clarify two elements of Solicitation STLI001-07 for ferry services at Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. (1) MANHATTAN EMBARKATION SITE - Although the NPS is engaged in active negotiations for the possible use of Pier A, for purposes of responding to questions set forth in the Prospectus, offerors should assume this hypothetical move will not occur. (2) NYCEDC HARBOR DISTRICT FERRY OPERATOR SOLICITATION - The NPS is aware that the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) published an advertisement in the New York Times on March 28, 2007, soliciting private ferry operators to enter into a memorandum of understanding with NYCEDC regarding NPS Solicitation STLI001-07 for ferry services at Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. Offerors should be advised that the NPS is not a party to the NYCEDC solicitation and has not endorsed or approved its issuance; aspects of the NYCEDC solicitation, including terms of the proposed Harbor District Agreement, may not be in accordance with NPS policy, laws and regulations. Proposals submitted by Offerors in response to NPS Solicitation STLI001-07 will be judged solely, as required by law, on the determined merits of the proposal under the applicable selection factors and in comparison to the other proposals received, if any.
