Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center (GLSC) has a requirement to make a competitive award via written request for Quotation No. 07ERQQ0091. The request is for a ship's first mate aboard the research vessel (R/V) Sturgeon, located at the USGS Cheboygan Vessel Base (CVB) in Cheboygan, MI. The period of performance is for the 2007 field season (April 16, 2007 through November 16, 2007). The contractor must possess a valid Master of Mate's License of 100 gross tons on inland waters or Great Lakes, issued by the U.S. Coast Guard. Since the vessel goes in and out of Canadian waters a valid U.S. Passport is required. Contractor support must only provide one person to provide the services described in the Statement of Work under Request for Quote No. 07ERQQ0091. Offers for more than one person to provide support at any one time will not be considered. Contractor must have an active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR). The url for CCR is www.ccr.gov. THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE UNDER SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. The anticipated award date is 04/11/2007. NAICS is 483114.
