Description

This is a notice of intent of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Birmingham, Alabama to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Medtronic Navigation for a STEALTHSTATION TREON. The STEALTHSTATION TREON is a dual modality system (Optical & Electromagnetic). This procurement is being conducted under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the services that will satisfy the agency requirements. Other persons or entities may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by April 20, 2007. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. All information regarding this requirement will be distributed through Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.   All inquiries must be submitted in writing; telephone inquiries will not be accepted, nor response received after April 20, 2007.
