Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requisition number is NWWA2000-7-03337 and this solicitation is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The provisions and clauses in effect are hereby incorporated through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. The NAICS code for this procurement is 541519. The purpose of this solicitation is to find a contractor who can provide 1 year maintenance on security center and 1 year maintenance for 11 passive vulnerability scanner licenses for the Tenable Lightning Console. The Lightning Console helps as a security group and repository for quarterly Nessus scans submitted by all of the National Weather Service (NWS) Regions and Offices. The period of performance is from April 30, 2007 to September 30, 2009, with two 1-year options. The place of performance is the National Weather Service at 1325 East West Highway, Silver Spring, Maryland 20910-3283. Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) provision 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR clause 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical, past performance, and price. Technical and past performance, when combined, are more important when compared to price. Offerors must include a completed copy of the provision at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items. FAR clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions?Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following clauses within clause 52.212-5 apply: 52.232-33, Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer___Central Contractor Registration.
