Description
The 96th Contracting Squadron, Eglin AFB, Florida intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the purchase of 1 each, 4 Kelvin Closed-Cycle Refrigerator in support of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) for its Helium Nanodroplet project. This is a 100% Small-Business setaside combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and this procurement is prepared and conducted in accordance with Far Part 12.6 and 13.5 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is F1TBAP7086A001. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 333415, with a small business size standard of 750. Please identify/confirm your business size in your response based upon this standard. This purchase request shall meet the following specifications/requirements: (1) Basic Requirement: A 4 Kelvin, closed-cycle refrigerator. This refrigerator system shall be complete and include the cold head, compressor, hoses, and cabling. (2) Coldhead Specifications: A two-stage coldhead is required for the refrigerator system and the second stage must have a cooling power of at least 1.5 Watts at 4.2 Kelvin. The cool down time from room temperature to 4.2 K for the second stage shall be less than 75 minutes. (3) Compressor Specifications: A water cooled compressor capable of driving the cold head is required. The compressor shall consume 3 phase 220 VAC at 60 Hz. (4) Serviceability and Warranty: Vendor will clearly describe which parts are covered under the standard Warranty, the duration of the standard Warranty. Vendor is invited to propose as an option an extended Warranty plan which will cover all parts, labor, and travel charges for a limited time period. (5) Vendor will provide all interconnection hoses/cables and power cables required for operation. The length of such hoses and cables must be at least 5 meters in length and shall not exceed 20 meters in length. (6) Delivery is required ARO no later than 1 June 2007.
