- This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought notice for potential parties to participate in a demonstration on 27 Apr 2007 at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. This is not a request for proposal (RFP). The Government will not make an award on the basis of this notice, nor otherwise pay for information solicited herein. The Air Mobility Command (AMC) Command Surgeon has a requirement for a critical care equipment device that is modular, lightweight, and multifunction with monitoring, ventilation, defibrillation, and peripheral medical device USB linkage capability. The device should provide this capability plus possess a small weight and cube, be durable and easily maintained, and be suitable for use in the flight environment. Additional desired characteristics are that the device incorporate software algorithms that not only measure and display patient physiological responses but can adjust ventilations or other make other interventions involving the devices inherent equipment or attached peripheral devices. Wireless monitoring is also a desired capability. Intended use of the device is the ground and patient movement environment (surface and air) on critically ill or injured patients, including from initial point of injury to definitive care. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability by submitting a 2-3 page capability statement which outlines how their device meets the aforementioned requirement. Capability statements must be submitted to gretchen.clohessy@bolling.af.mil and kurtis.faubion@scott.af.mil not later than (NLT) 12:00p.m. Eastern daylight savings time (EDT), 16 April 2007. Capability statements will be reviewed by Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Medical Logistics Readiness Branch (HQ AMC/SGXL). Those parties which are deemed capable of meeting the requirement may be invited to participate in a demonstration, and will be contacted directly not later than 20 Apr 2007 with further details. A determination by the Government as to which parties are capable of meeting the requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government and will have no impact on any potential future acquisitions. Only invited parties will be permitted at the demonstration. The Government will not make an award, nor otherwise pay for participation at a demonstration.
