- In support of the Conventional Navigation Program and the Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) Program, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN), Charleston, Code 83A (Navigation Systems Program Office) is seeking information on ALTERNATE RODMETERS for the existing US Navy EM LOG Systems; Mk 4, Mk 6 and AN/WSN-8 DEML. This information is in support of the FCT Program requirement for a market survey. These ALTERNATE RODMETERS should use modern material and electronics in their design and manufacture. The rodmeters should be shark fin or flush mount in shape, as opposed to the conventional linear 24??? to 100??? rodmeters. All information received will be treated as public knowledge; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company name and address. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. Point of contact, telephone, fax, web address, and email address. 4. Brief product description. 5. Additional information such as equipment reliability, maintainability, durability, environmental limits, safety reports, latest research, and new developments. 6. Cost information such as initial costs, General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information, replacement parts, accessory options, and available warranties. 7. Information on military or commercial ships currently using the rodmeter. Do not send your piece of equipment. The submitted information will be evaluated for potential consideration in planning future rodmeter assessments. If future rodmeter assessment on this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including technical capability and cost. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through the FedBizOps posting agency. Vendors may be contacted following submission for more detailed product information. Vendor provided information may be reformatted for publication in FCT Program documents.
