Description
This amendment is issued to extend the due date to April 17, 2007 and provide a response to the below questions. Question: Could you please provide a full model # and serial # of any one of the pumps so that we can get an accurate dimensional drawing for the pump. The Gould API-610 series has several variations. Government Response: This requirement includes two types of Gould Pumps: Two (2) are model 3700M, 970 GPM, 34 FT of Head, 1150 RPMs and two (2) are model 3700, 810 GPM, 36 Ft of Head, and 1150 RPMS Serial numbers are: 200C961-1 200C961-2 200C960-1 200C960-2 Question: Are the pumps located outside, or in a building? Government Response: Pumps are inside, in a basement mechanical room. Question: Are there any overhead cranes, or lifting equipment, that we can use, or do we need to bring our own? Government Response: The government will provide a portable hydraulic lift and a dolly for movement of the pumps. Question: Within the Scope of work at (c) iii it states, replacement of worn parts, including new gaskets and bolts. We obviously cannot quote to replace worn parts, until we have disassembled the individual pumps and evaluated them. How do you want us to handle this? We can quote basic overhaul (seals, gaskets, etc), but what if the pump is damaged and requires new shafts, etc. Government Response: The replacement of a shaft would be considered extraordinary and is not to be included in the offered price quote. However, all other replacement parts or pump repair shall be included. Proposals shall be submitted by email only to Kyle A. Turner at: turnerky@mail.nih.gov Proposals are due by 3:00 p.m. EST on April 17, 2007. No phone calls will be accepted.
