- U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) currently has a requirement for Outstanding Network Cabling Installation and Design (ONCID) at locations throughout the United States. ONCID will be procured on a competitive basis under the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program. Therefore, only firms with active SBA 8(a) certification under NAICS Code 238210 will be eligible to participate in the competition.</p> ONCID will ensure on-going support for the implementation of a universal cabling schematic for voice, video, and data systems. Standardization is needed to ensure that all field personnel, regardless of the remoteness of the location, have the ability to access and send essential information through voice and data processing systems quickly and reliably. ONCID will include all necessary management, supervision, labor and materials to perform the site survey, topology designs, installation, testing, diagnosing and maintenance of data and voice communications cabling and equipment at more than 900 geographically dispersed CBP locations, including remote locations, historic buildings, and government-owned or government-leased buildings. Installation of wireless communications devices is also included.</p> The Request for Proposals (RFP) is not currently available, but is estimated to be released on or about May 1, 2007. The RFP, including any amendments, will be distributed through the FedBizOpps website. The FedBizOpps website contains downloading instructions. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps website to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Paper copies of the RFP and associated amendments will not be made available.</p> IMPORTANT: SOME ATTACHMENTS TO THE RFP WILL CONTAIN SENSITIVE BUT UNCLASSIFIED (SBU) INFORMATION AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLY BY DOWNLOAD FROM THE FEDERAL TECHNICAL DATA SOLUTIONS (FEDTEDS) WEBSITE: </p> <center>https://www.fedteds.gov</center> A direct FedTeDS link to the RFP documents containing SBU information will be posted on FedBizOpps when the RFP is released. It will not be necessary for vendors to execute a separate non-disclosure agreement prior to requesting access through FedTeDS, but the vendor must accept the FedTeDS SBU policy when prompted by the FedTeDS system.
