Description
The US Coast Guard, Aircraft Repair and Supply Center?s (ARSC) H-60 Product Line has a requirement for an Electrical Engineer, to perform technical research, evaluations, and investigations pertinent to designing of installations, developing aircraft interfaces, and providing test equipment for the H-60 Avionics Upgrade project. To support this objective, one Electrical Engineer will be required to perform technical analysis of existing technical research, analysis of or adaptation of existing engineering and design development, testing and evaluations, and investigations applicable to Coast Guard H-60 Avionics and Wiring systems. Performance of task activities may be accomplished both on and off site. The Engineering Support Branch Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR) will provide guidance. Guidance may also be provided by the H-60 Product Line for the Chief of ARSC's Engineering and Industrial Support Division (EISD), This contract action is required to supplement the knowledge base of engineers for current and evolving design and engineering changes made to the aircraft. It is anticipated that the contract will include a 12 months base period followed by one year option periods. The performance based statement of work with CLIN structures and estimated yearly need will be provided in the solicitation. Commencing at contract award, the contractor must have personnel in place at the government facility and at the contractor?s designated location to provide engineering and logistic support. The rationale behind this contract is to ensure continued availability of this support at reasonable and predictable costs. Request for solicitation must be made no later than 11 April 2005.
