FIT/FORM/FUNCTION: A COMPONENT FOR THE INTERNAL COMBUSTION CHAMBER ASSSEMBLY ON THE F100-PW-229 ENGINE. LINERS PREVENT THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER FROM BEING DAMAGED IN THE INTENSE HEAT. LINERS ARE MOUNTED INTERNAL OF THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. PREDOMINANT MATERIAL: NICKEL ALLOY-PWA 1476. Applicable to: F100 229 Delivery: 31 December 2007 Quantity: 125 each New Material Solicited. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 25 April 2007. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 9 May 2007. The anticipated award date will be 30 May 2007. No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The solicitation will be available for download only at www.fbo.gov. It is anticipated that this requirement will be sole sourced to United Technologies since they are the only current approved source. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. Non-approved sources wishing to submit a bid may do so, however, only qualified sources will be considered for award. First Articles may be required from newly approved sources. EXPORT CONTROL: Foreign owned firms are advised to contact the Contracting Officer or Program Manager before submitting a proposal to determine whether there are restrictions on receiving an award. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
