- Description
- The Air Force District of Washington Medical Support Branch (AFDW/A7KM) intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price purchase order to Applied Biosystems, Inc for an AB 7500 Real Time PCR Analytical System with Accessories. Applied Biosystems is the unique designer, developer, and manufacturer of this system. This system will be used at the Advanced Diagnostic Laboratory at Lackland AFB to test and validate various diagnostic platforms and assays presented to the USAF testbed for independent verification. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intents to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 10 USC 2304 (c)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
