Description
MARKET SURVEY 30mm x 113mm Fragmenting Ammunition This is a market survey only. It is for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal. The US Army, Office of the Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS) is seeking information on the availability of 30mm x 113mm High Explosive Incendiary or similar fragmenting ammunition. The ammunition being sought must: 1. Be compatible with the M230 automatic cannon 2. Have an anti-personnel capability when fired at ground targets 3. Not have a tracer Additionally, an aluminum cartridge case is highly desired. If available, the following information is requested for existing ammunition that provides 1-3 above: 1. Item type, nomenclature and, description 2. Maturity of item, for example: Concept, Developed but never fielded or produced, Developed and fielded but not currently in production, In production. 3. Customers who currently use item and gun/weapon system used on. 4. Trajectory data out to 3000m. Trajectory data is critical for the US Army to determine if the ammunition is compatible with its existing weapon system. 5. Temperature or other environmental restrictions for use. 6. Availability ??? estimated lead time from order until delivery for 5000 cartridges and 100,000 cartridges 7. Mass of complete cartridge in grams, not including link, bulk strip or any linking or packaging items. 8. Mass of complete projectile in grams. 9. Available packaging configurations 10. Manufacturer 11. Lethal area and/or incapacitation probabilities around point of burst for a ground impact, including assumptions. 12. Fuze nomenclature, design details, basic functional sequence description (include self-destruct if applicable) to include safety features 13. Propellant nomenclature and technical description. 14. Explosive nomenclature and technical description. 15. Incendiary material nomenclature and technical description, if applicable 16. Primer technical description, to include primary explosives used and key electrical characteristics 17. Cartridge case material. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government.
