- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for RENEWAL OF SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE for One(1) Year the following software: 1) Verilog(R)-XL Simulator (P/N: 26000M1) (qty 2) 2) Cadence(R) NC-Verilog(R) Simulator (P/N: 28200M1) (qty 1) 3) Incisive(TM) Unified Simulator (P/N: 29300M1) (qty 1) 4) Virtuoso(R)-XL Layout Editor (P/N: 3000M1) (qty 2) 5) Virtuoso(R) Spectre(R) Circuit Simulator (P/N:32500M1) (qty 3) 6) Virtuoso(R) Schematic Editor (P/N: 34500M1) (qty 2) 7) Virtuoso(R) Analog Design Environment (P/N: 34510M1) (qty 3) 8) Diva(R) Design Rule Checker (P/N: 71110M1) (qty 1) 9) Diva(R) Layout Vs. Schematic Verifier (P/N: 71120M1) (qty 1) 10) Diva(R) Parasitic Extractor (P/N: 71130M1) (qty 1) NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from CADENCE DESIGN SYSTEMS, INC., SAN JOSA, CA. CADENCE is the only vendor who meets all of our requirements. The Authority is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. The procurement will be processed using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures, and will be awarded under the authority of FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to YOLANDA WILLIAMS (email preferred), via email at Yolanda.A.Williams@nasa.gov or fax to 301-286-8371, not later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on April 25, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing to YOLANDA WILLIAMS (email preferred), via email at Yolanda.A.Williams@nasa.gov or fax 301-286-8371, no later than April 16, 2007. It is the offeror's responsibility for downloading their own copy of this notice and amendments (if any). This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Respondents deemed fully qualified will be considered in any resultant solicitation for the requirement. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
