Description

Amendment 01 to Combined Synopsis/Solicitation is issued to provide Reclamation's response to questions submitted. Q: As a Schedule Contractor we have to have apparel that is made and assembled in either the US or an approved country such as Mexico which is part of NFTA. I believe that your document is requesting US product only which in some of these items is hard to find. Is that correct? A: Reclamation has reviewed the Trade Agreement provisions of this Request for Proposal and makes the following changes under Contract Clauses 52.212-05 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items. 1. Delete the requirement for (b) (23) 52.225-1 Buy American Act - Supplies, 2. Incorporate the requirement for (b) (25) 52.225-5 Trade Agreements and accompanying clause 52.225-6 Trade Agreements Certificate. Q: We have provided Fire Resistant apparel to the Northern California Area Office and Grand Coulee Dam in the past. In the document you reference power plants but do not list this type of apparel in the item list. Is this not part of the package or am I not viewing this correctly? A: Line items 31, 35, 36 and 41 under the Uniform Tab of the Schedule of Items call for Nomex flame resistant fabric. Any other items of this nature may be considered safety items and are not included in this Request for Proposal. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (11-APR-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
