- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute?s (NHLBI), Office of Acquisitions (OA), intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive sole source basis to Innomedic GMBH, Luitpoldstra 59, 76863 Herxeim, Germany to purchase a MRI compatible valves and control units. The unit number (ADB/BGU/MVE) specifications consist of the following; 1 linear encoder S5 (include head, rail 187mm), suitable for actors 57mm, 1 liner encoder S5 (include head, rail 240 mm), suitable for actors 146mm, 1 Fibrecable S5 (2 channels), 1 S5 sensorelectronls (2 channels), 1 Rotational encoder S2, 1 Homesensor S3, 1 Fibrecable S2 (3 channels), 1 S2 sensorelectronis (3channels), 1 Fibercable S3 (6 channels), 8Valves including accessories, 2 Additional pneumatic components, 2 Actor including accessories, 2 Actor including accessories, 1 MEI XMP, 1 RMB (controls 4 axes), 1 Connector block, 2 SCSI cable, 4 Media converters, 2 Fibre optical cable (10m), 4 RJ45 patch cable, 2 housing 19", and total of 50 labor hours. Government expected delivery is four (4) weeks after receipt of order. The Government requires an estimated cost of shipping, export packing and duty if it applies, when submitting a proposal. The sole source determination is based upon the fact that the government is currently involve with a project in investigating innovative methods for the worlds first robotic in assisting transapical approach aortic valve replacement with Magnet Resonance Image (MRI) guidance. This upgrade unit must be compatible with the existing Innomotion system to develop such an active end-effector. Innomedics GMBH, is the only known source and therefore, an award to any other source is not feasible or practical because only the manufacturer is capable of providing a compatible valve and control unit. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 339112 and Standard Size is 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement.
