Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools and equipment to the Replace Primary Electrical Distribution System, Phase IV at the VA Medical Center, St. Cloud MN. Work includes excavation, high voltage duct bank, installation of large air break switches, cable and connection of switches and transformers, restoration of grounds, road and walks. Connect to the new high voltage distribution system at S17. Install new electrical distribution up to and including S18 (note: apportion of this conduit is in place). From S18, continue the distribution system to the existing S1. Provide and install the new primary switch and connect as shown to S1 and to S100. Requests for hard copy solicitation documents must be in writing to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a check for $30.00 made out to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Only 1 request for hard copy will be honored per contractor. No telephone or fax requests will be accepted. The drawings are in AutoCAD format and can only be opened with AutoCAD. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will only be available on the VA Business Opportunities website. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining all amendments. The Bidder's Mailing List is only available on the VA Business Opportunities website. Issue date is April 13, 2007, Pre-Bid Conference is April 26, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Bid Opening May 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. The cost range for this project is $500,000 to $700,000. The NAICS code is 238210 with a small business size standard of $12.0 Million. No electronic offers will be accepted. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
