Description
DESCRIPTION: This is a sources sought synopsis. The Air Force Security Assistance Center (AFSAC), Wright Patterson AFB, OH is seeking qualified, interested sources to provide the Taiwan Air Force Emergency Airfield Lighting Systems (EALS), for use in times of disaster, for nine (9) bases and 21 military vehicles to move the EALS. Also provide familiarization instructions of the EALS to be conducted at the nine bases located in Taiwan. THERE IS NO PROMISE OF A CONTRACT. The contents of the requirements should at least including the following five (5) items: 1. Program Management Integration and Oversight including transportation, delivery, required U. S. Export Licenses, and full contract support services. 2. Nine (9) complete 6-trailer Emergency Airfield Lighting Systems (EALS, A/E82U-2) as described in the most recent version of U.S. Air Force Technical Manual TO 35F5-3-17-1, Lighting System, Airfield Emergency. One EALS will be delivered to each of the following Air Bases: Songshan, Taoyuan, Chingchuankang/CCK (Taichung), Makung, Tainan, Pingtung, Kangshan, Taitung, and Chashan. 3. Twenty-one (21) EALS Support Vehicles identical to the Mercedes Benz, G-Class, Military Version vehicles. One vehicle each will be delivered/provided to Hualien, Chiayi, and Hsinchu Air Bases. Two vehicles each will be delivered/provided to Songshan, Taoyuan, Chingchuankang/CCK (Taichung), Makung, Tainan, Pingtung, Kangshan, Taitung, and Chashan Air Bases. 4. Transportation, shipment, and distribution/delivery of all equipment items from the point of origin to each of the designated Air Bases listed in paragraphs 2 and 3. 5. Complete and thorough "EALS Familiarization Instruction", including U.S. Air Force manuals and supporting instructional materials. The instruction will be delivered by personnel with appropriate instructional and Civil Engineer background in the U.S. Air Force and recent experience in providing identical familiarization instruction. It is mandatory that this contract be executed and delivered by contractor personnel who have successfully performed similar contract equipment and services.
