Description
Seeking qualifications of vendors capable of providing the necessary labor, equipment, material and supervision necessary to replace twenty-eight (28) fogged and broken insulated glass units in the West Point Club (Bldg. 603), U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY 10996. The Clear Tempered units are approximately 40 x 68 and 5/8 thick. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The Contractor shall: a. Remove the 28 defective insulated glass units. b. Provide and install the 28 replacement window glass units equal to or exceeding the quality of the existing units. c. Provide all miscellaneous glazing accessories and repair parts as required for a complete replacement of the defective window units. d. Remove any debris generated from this project and dispose of it properly off USMA property. e. The contractor will provide a work schedule to allow the occupants time to prepare for the replacement of glass units. f. Once started, work will continue uninterrupted until completed. The contractor will unsure that at the end of each business day that all window openings will be fully weather resistant during non-business hours. g. Window units will need to be removed from the outside. Windows are in an aluminum frame. Windows are held in with aluminum strips and screws. The screws and strips will need to be removed to take the glass out. Replace strips and screws to secure w indow when window is replaced. A scaffold will be needed to access the windows both inside and out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Interested parties are asked to provide a brief statement of qualifications to perform this contract, including (a) size of business and all applicable designations (e.g., small business, large business, 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, woman-owned small business, etc.), (b) geographical location of business, (c) statement as to whether the interested party has made prior sales to or performed prior work/services at the U.S. Military Academy and (d) statement as to whether the i nterested party is currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations & Certifications Application (ORCA) websites.
