Description

The 134th Contracting Office at McGhee Tyson ANG Base, Louisville, TN, hereby gives notice of its intention to award a sole source purchase order to Quintron Services, Inc., for a Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) approved (In accordance with DOD Dir ective 8500-1) DICES IV Communication System. In accordance with FAR 6.303 and 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency needs for the purchase of the DICES equipment manufactured by Quintron Servic es, Inc. DICES is the internal intercom system used to communicate during operations. It provides command and control communications between operators, mission directors and the command staff. This purchase will incorporate a system with communication stat ions into an existing infrastructure and is critical to mission success in that both must be compatible as it provides critical communication to control multiple space platforms. This award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This announc ement constitutes the only notice. The reference number is W912L7-07-T-0008. NAICS code for this purchase is 334290.
