Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 5, is planning a solicitation for Wildfire Risk Assessment for the Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge, Mashpee, MA, which is part of the Eastern Massachusetts NWR Complex located in Sudbury, MA This solicitation will use a Request for Quotation method as outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Parts 13 and 15. The ultimate contract award will be based on the best overall value to the goverment, with the past performance and technical capabilities of interested responsible firms being a major deciding factor. The project consists of identifying and addressing the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) areas associated with the Mashpee NWR. The Refuge requires a comprehensive assessment of wildfire risk levels across all lands in the Mashpee Refuge partnership, pinpointing where local communities or refuge resources are threatened. The work under this proposed contract also includes prescriptions for proposed fuel reduction treatments, defensible space projects, or enhancements to roads/firebreaks to lower the risk of fire hazards to local communities or refuge resources. These prescriptions will include, specific, measurable, achievable, and time-fixed descriptions, and will be geo-referenced in GIS map layers. The NAICS is 541710. This procurement is unrestricted. All responsive, responsible, offerors with a strong positive past performance and technical capable history, are invited to participate in the quotation process and will be considered for contract award.
