Description

The Army Special Operations Command, Technology Applications Contracting Office, has a requirement for a small, lightweight battery for an aircraft weapon system. Based on extensive market research and the Government's requirement, there are limited sources for the requested battery. The Government intends to award purchase orders among four separate sources as follows: SAFT, 711 Gilharbin Industrial Blvd., Valdosta, GA; Yardney/Lith-ion, 82 Mechanic Street, Pawcatuck, CT; Medipak, 6307-A Angus Drive, Raleigh, NC; and EIC Labs, 111 Downey Street, Norwood, MA. The battery requirements and specifications are available as an Attachment to this notice. The anticipated award date is 9 October 2006 with an expected delivery of 120 days or less from receipt of the order(s).
