- Description
- The U.S. Forest Service is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone, Small Business concerns or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business concerns. The estimated value of this procurement is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The small business size standard is $28.5 Million. The acquisition is for for the removal of existing toilet facility and the construction of a replacement SST (Sweet Smelling Toilet). Work will include all labor, materials, tools, equipment and other items necessary to demolish and remove the existing toilet building and replace as directed by the contract specifications. Project location: Approximately 2 miles south of interstate 64 on State Route 37. Travel West on the Indian/Celina Recreation Area Road. Turn left on Celina Road. Estimated construction cost (including options) is between $25,000 and 100,000. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Davis Bacon wage rates. Current wage determination is: IN20070006 02/09/2007. The requirement will be awarded as a fixed price contract, a single award is anticipated. Solicitation number: Request for Proposals: AG-52B1-S-07-ORB-3020. The performance period is 45 days and is expected to begin 10 days after contract award. The acquisition is expected to be issued under full and open competition procedures. However, in accordance with (1) FAR 19.1305, if your firm is HUBZone certified, or (2) FAR 19.14: if your firm is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, or (3) FAR 19.502-2 (b) (1), if your firm is a Small Business, and intends to submit an offer on this acquisition, please respond by email to mcorse@fs.fed.us or by fax at (812)279-3423. In your response please include: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor; (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope. Please include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers. At least two and no more than four references are requested. Your response is required by April 12, 2007. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on a HUBZone, Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran-owned set aside. Contractors are reminded that should this acquisition become a HUBZone set aside, FAR 52.219-3 Notice of Total HUBZone Set-Aside will apply. Should this acquisition become a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business FAR 52.219-27 ? Notice of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set Aside will apply. FAR 52.219-3 and FAR 52-219-27 each requires that at least 15 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance be spent for employees of the concern. Failure to submit all information requested may result in an unrestricted acquisition. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a HUBZone set aside, a Small Business set aside, a Service-Disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Set-Aside, or an unrestricted procurement will be posted on FEDBIZOPS.
