- In general the work shall consist of the following Construction services for repairs, renovations, new construction, with design capabilities and limited studies (topographic surveys and assessments), primarily in support of Comalapa Air Base in El S alvador, Soto Cano Air Base in Honduras, and other U.S. Federal Agencies sponsored projects in: Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama; which may be supported by specific task orders under this contract. Two or more cont racts may be awarded from this solicitation. The proposed contracts will be a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) which includes a 12 month base period and four 12 month option periods. The total amount of these contracts will not exceed $15,000,00 0.00. The intent is to have 2 pools: 1) will cover Belize, Guatemala, and El Salvador, and 2) will cover Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project 236220. The solicitation documents will be available on or about April 30, 2007. The estimated cost of this project is from $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Mr. Leo Hickman will be the Contracting Officer for this project. NOTE 1: Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. NOTE 2: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is implementing a new procedure for posting all NEW solicitations. The Mobile District Electronic Bid Solicitations (EBS) system will no longer be used to post solicitations . The new system, called Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS), is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition-related information for all Federal agencies. All prospective contractors and their subcontractors and suppliers must be r egistered in FedTeDS before they will be allowed to download solicitation information.
